The Beach Cabana gives YOU the chance to represent the Beach out in the community!

Volunteer with Beach Cabana at the Long Beach Día De Los Muertos Arte y Ofrendas Festival on November 4, 2023 to share about university programs and initiatives at this family-friendly, cultural celebration honoring the Mexican holiday and dearly departed loved ones!

From the event organizers:

Grand Parade Día de los Muertos is returning to Long Beach Saturday, November 4, 2023 presented by the City of Long Beach and Councilwoman Mary Zendejas, in conjunction with the Arte y Ofrendas Festival. A culturally rich parade and festival celebrating Día de Muertos history, myth and artistry that originated in pre-Hispanic Mexico over 3,000 years ago and now celebrated globally honoring the lives of our ancestors and celebrating as a family. The festival features Aztec dance blessing, Altares, a Children’s Plaza, Art Exhibits, Face Painting, Artisan Mercado, Folklorico dancers, food vendors and more. The Altares are the heart of the celebration paying tribute to family traditions.

By volunteering with us at the Long Beach Día de los Muertos festivities, you will help showcase our organization through informative displays as well as help your friends and neighbors celebrate this important cultural tradition in grand fashion!

Culturally appropriate costumes optional! Volunteer training will be provided.
