What We Do
The Black Scholars Program exists to serve the Black community within and surrounding Long Beach State by uplifting the students, alumni and community members through events and programs that increase their opportunities for success. We aim to provide gap assistance, mentorships and connections from within our community for students facing life challenges during their educational journey. With the support of the Black community, we will support students through challenges that create access and retention barriers, helping students to achieve a quality education and successful careers.
