The College of Health and Human Services is looking for volunteers to assist with Day at the Beach! Volunteers will help guide guests around campus, ensuring they find the locations they are looking for. Volunteers should have a general knowledge of the campus and its buildings and be able to walk around and provide directions for a few hours. Snacks and refreshments will be provided, along with a CHHS 2026 Day at the Beach T-shirt, while supplies last.

DAY AT THE BEACH

Day at The Beach is a campus-wide free event for newly admitted students (Fall 2026 incoming class) and their families that provides a first-look at college programs, student organizations, academic resources, popular facilities, and more. This is an open house experience and is not considered an official orientation.
We need YOUR help to welcome these students and show them the BEST we have to offer!
T-shirt pick up
Unless otherwise instructed by a college that you are already working with, you may pick up your Day at the Beach t-shirts Monday – Wednesday at the Anna W. Ngai Alumni Center or at volunteer/participant check-in at The Pointe on the day of the event. The Alumni Center pick-up hours are:
Monday, April 6th 9:00am – 5:30pm
Tuesday, April 7th 9:00am – 5:30pm
Wednesday, April 8th 9:00am – 5:30pm
If you can't make it to the alumni center during those dates and timeframes, you can pick up your t-shirt at The Pointe before your shift.
