Opportunities From: California State University Long Beach

Volunteer: Day at the Beach: Lifeguard Info Stations

We need you to help us guide prospective students and their families at Day at the Beach!

Let's face it, our campus is big. And to outsiders, a big event like Day at the Beach can be hard to navigate. Our Lifeguard Stations are placed strategically throughout the campus so that prospective students and their families are never too far from help.

Staffing and volunteers are needed to help students and families find their way around campus, help them navigate to specific showcases and the Resource Fair, and answer some general questions about campus so that they can explore what the Beach has to offer.

This opportunity is great for folks with some basic knowledge of campus as well as campus Directors and AVPs not already providing information at their own tents at the Resource Fair.

Online training for this role will be held prior to the event to make sure volunteers know what their roles entail and to make sure they have all the information needed to help our future Beach families have the best experience

Training Date: Friday, April 3 at 3:00 pmPlease register for the training using the link below:

Volunteer: Host a Dinner with Twelve

Are you a fantastic host? Do you love getting together over dinner and/or drinks? Are you interested in building community and helping Beach alumni connect? Then Dinner with 12 is perfect for you!

Dinner with Twelve 49ers brings alumni together around the table over a shared meal and a shared Beach experience. In this unique program, Beach alumni from across the career-journey timeline come together over casual conversation discussing their experiences in a specific industry. This is an opportunity for Beach alumni to learn about one another, build their network, and share tips and tricks on everything from navigating the job market after college and to planning one's professional path.
